  1. What are your experiences with e-books so far? Do you read them privately? Have you ever worked with them either as a student or as a teacher?

Occasionally, I happen to look into e-books for my own studies at the university or I read novels and books about for me worth knowing and interesting topics, which are available as e-books, in my free time.

2.. What do you think

about the use of     e-books for      education?        Where do you see  benefits or          disadvantages?

Depending on the context of learning matter and focus of the class, for todays’ children it can be advantageous to immerse them in digital technology for that the use of e-books are convenient. Additionally, the students acknowledge using digital tools for educational purposes by learning the conventionally true exposure to this device.

3. Do you already

have ideas how you could use e-books for your own teaching and learning?

I do have some ideas to include e-books in my own teaching. The students could use dictionaries in English, Spanish or German as a second language class. In particular, those students who attend my classes and have another mother tongue than German often struggle understanding the words and correlations. They cannot afford to purchase a normal dictionary or never bring them to class and even explanations do not always work for them to get a clue of the subject. However, when they have them as an e-book on a digital technology, such as a mobile phone, a tablet or a computer, it is at all times handy and leaves possibility to add notes and highlight important information, etc. It is a creative and at the same time motivational way of learning and teaching.
