Added value:

With the help of this digital tool the

teacher observes students’ learning progress and has an overview of the activities each of them has trouble with. Another augmented aspect is that the students witness immediately whether or not their answers are correct. Apart from this, the tasks generally act as a substitute of those the teacher teaches in class without this tool. Consequently, in terms of language teaching contexts the lesson is enhanced (augmentation).

Usability:

In order to use this tool, the teacher creates an account and the students get a code for the class. By means of the code and their name they can log in. Hence, they can get started with the activities. It is an easy to use digital tool that facilitates learning by visualising tasks the students need to complete which helps them in their learning process, that is, to study for an exam, for example. On top of that this app is accepted gladly by the students in the classroom. The teacher can either use it so as to assess prepared material and evaluate students’ activities or for spontaneous lessons in class.

Interactivity:

For this software you can either use a computer with internet access or a mobile phone. Other than that no additional equipment is needed. The website itself offers videos with explanations on how to set the questions and assignments up.

Technical requirements:

This digital tool can be used on a computer or a mobile device.

Explain everything

Added value:

Tutoring can take place in the language classroom or from a distance. In this way, students who cannot attend class due to illness have the opportunity to gain insight into the learning matter of a lesson. Everything can be recorded and thus, is available for everyone. The students are linked and can interact with each other by downloading voice recordings to the digital whiteboard. All this argues for a potentially good way to transform tasks in the language teaching classroom (modification).

Usability:

A long as you and your students are familiar with whiteboards and tablets it should not be difficult to create a mobile learning environment by incorporating this app in your language teaching. Besides, it is a very creative and interactive digital tool with a wide range of simultaneous use of drawings, photos, videos, audio recordings and web pages that are available for the students. Different types of assignments can be uploaded on the part of the students.

Interactivity:

Students engage themselves in taking use of the interactive possibilities of this digital tool. In addition, they do not have to stare at a simple screen, but have the presentation on their individual gadget instead. This allows the students to work more independently and collaborate with each other as well.

Technical requirements:

In order to use this app, you require an iPad, Android, Chromebooks, or any other tablet. On a computer, however, it is not available. As a microphone is already integrated in all tablets, further audio equipment or devices for voice recordings are unnecessary.
